Inside the song
Story & meaning
Before the first beat, there is rain in the wood and wind in the branches. Hide is stretched over a hollow body; a hand strikes, and the night finds a voice. Each sound carries that earlier life into the room, reaching the chest as warmth and movement.
Feet answer across the floor. Dust rises from the cracks, shadows move on bare walls, and the hall awakens with everyone inside it. Then a palm rests on the chest. The rhythm is close enough to feel beneath the skin: an old sound in new blood, the same sound in you and me.
